Ebro Darden says he avoided hugging Megan Thee Stallion at Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium residency because he was sweating so heavily that he feared ruining her outfit.
The radio host shared the very relatable confession during a recent episode of The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show, explaining that the summer heat had left him completely drenched by the time he crossed paths with the three-time Grammy winner.
“The juice was the amount of sweat I was sweating,” Darden joked. “That’s the only juicy details I got,” he continued, calling the situation “obscene” and “embarrassing.”
“I was out there looking like somebody dumped water on me, bro,” he said. “It was a travesty.”
“And then you seeing the Megan the Stallions, everybody trying to high-five and give you a hug,” he added. “You like, ‘Yo, I don’t even want to fuck up your whole outfit. I’m fat boy sweaty right now. I can’t. This is crazy.’”
Darden attended all three nights of Jay-Z’s July 10 through July 12 residency, which celebrated the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. The sold-out run included appearances from Beyoncé, Blue Ivy Carter, Eminem, Jeezy, Pharrell Williams, Rihanna, Teyana Taylor.
