Apple Music director Ebro Darden called Canadian rapper Drake out for not speaking out about issues affecting Black people.
On Rap Life Review, the cohosts weighed in on Drake’s beef with Childish Gambino.
During Drake It’s All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage, a message dissing Childish Gambino’s 2018 song “This Is America,” was displayed. Drake says the track is “overrated.”
The song originally started as a Drake diss.
“Drake, who has never shown up, and y’all know I’m the biggest Drake fan on this show,” Ebro said in the video. “Drake has never shown up to have anything to say about anything going on in society with Black folks or anything other than himself.”
Ebro, who says he has no problem with Drake, recently claimed that Pusha T’s “Story of Adidon” hurt Drake’s career.
“Major L … shifted the universe,” he wrote on Twitter in May. “Put a ceiling on Drake’s legend.”
