Dwight Howard has been granted a temporary protective order against his estranged wife, Amy Luciani, amid their increasingly contentious divorce.
A Georgia judge signed the order on Tuesday requiring Luciani, whose legal name is Amber Howard, to remain at least 100 yards away from the former NBA star, two of his children, his Georgia home, and the children’s private school.
According to court documents, Howard, 40, accused Luciani of threatening him during an April 5 visit to his house after the pair had spent six weeks apart. Howard alleged Luciani “threatened to punch” him in the throat and also “threatened to kill whoever was in the car” with him.
He further claimed she tried to interfere with his custody of one of his daughters and accused her of harassment, excessive jealousy and a pattern of threatening behavior. The former Los Angeles Lakers player also said Luciani damaged his reputation after posting allegations online that he was abusive and struggled with drug use.

Luciani claims CPS took their daughter after multiple visits, alleging Dwight has a drug addiction and coached his 12-year-old son to lie for an alibi.

Howard claimed, “I’ve lost money and deals” because of the accusations.
The judge granted Howard temporary exclusive use of the home he previously shared with Luciani and awarded him temporary possession of a 2015 Mercedes.
Luciani denied the allegations in a statement, calling the protective order “completely false.”
“Dwight is pulling any string of retaliation to cover up another one of his many wrongdoings,” she said.
A hearing in the case is scheduled for April 13.
