Dwight Howard is responding to the explosive allegations made by his estranged wife, Amber “Amy” Howard, also known as Amy Luciani.

The former NBA star addressed the claims in a message shared to Snapchat after Luciani posted an emotional video suggesting he had struggled with cocaine use. Howard rejected the accusation directly.

“Never done coke in my life,” he wrote. “Y’all will believe everything y’all see on the internet.”

Screenshots of the post quickly circulated online as the situation gained attention across social media. In another clip shared to his Snapchat account, Howard appeared to react to the criticism surrounding him.

“Me reading the hate and slander in the comments,” he wrote alongside a selfie-style video and laughing emojis.

Luciani’s video had sparked widespread discussion after she tearfully described challenges in their household. In the clip, she claimed Child Protective Services had visited their home several times and suggested she had tried to help her husband before speaking publicly.

“I’ve been trying to tell everybody he needs some help,” she said. “Nobody wanted to listen because he’s got the money.”

The public exchange comes shortly after Howard filed for divorce. The couple married in January 2025. The former basketball star has not addressed the allegations further beyond his brief social media response.
