A divorce filing, explosive accusations, and months of marital trouble apparently weren’t enough to keep Dwight Howard and Amy Luciani apart.
The former NBA champion and reality star have reconciled, with Luciani confirming their reunion in the comments of an Instagram post last weekend.
Photos from her travels in Asia sparked questions about their relationship, and Luciani’s responses left little doubt that the estranged spouses are trying again.
She also took responsibility for bringing their private problems into the public eye.
“I invited them in my personal marital low moments when I posted that video in an emotional rage,” Luciani explained.
The video included allegations about Howard’s cocaine use.
Her mother offered an emotional message celebrating the couple’s decision to forgive each other and rebuild their marriage.
“You’ve always loved me through my lows & highs even when you didn’t agree with me you still love me,” Luciani replied.
Howard filed for divorce in March, calling their marriage “irretrievably broken.” He also sought exclusive use of their Georgia home.
The former basketball star subsequently accused Luciani in court documents of misrepresenting her fertility before their wedding.
Their dispute also included a protective order that Howard later dropped. Luciani had previously filed her own divorce petition before withdrawing it.
“I til this day have never asked him for single dollar. Not 30 cents. Before we married, I told him I want to sign a [prenup] because I [believe] what you worked for is yours and I’m not the type of woman to take what’s not mine. I mentioned a prenup first!! He declined. I do not want any of his assets. I do not want half of anything that he has earned or obtained before me,” she said on social media at the time.
