NBA superstar Dwyane Wade is one of the richest Black men in the world, with an estimated fortune of more than $200M. But despite being so wealthy, the former NBA star still has his actress wife Gabrielle Union pay half the bills.
Gabrielle first broke the news last month, when during an interview, she explained that she and her husband have separate accounts, and that the two split all the household bills (including travel) fifty-fifty.
Now this week, on Shannon Shape’s new podcast, Dwyane elaborated on the couple’s finances, Media Take Out confirmed.
In this episode of Club Shay Shay, Dywane Wade spoke about Gabrielle Unions 50/50 comment.
He explained that Gabrielle takes care of all her family bills and he takes care of all of his families bills. Dwyane claims that he supports, his children, his sister, and many in Wade’s extended family.
Then he turned to the Dwyane and Gabrielle’s expenses together. According to the $200M baller, Gabrielle takes it upon herself to pay for stuff.
For example, she paid for a portion of the house because she wanted to. He also said that he reads the peoples comments regarding their relationship and would prefer if she not talk about it but he doesn’t control her.
Then Dwwyane dropped a bombshell. He told Shannon that the couple both signed a prenup; he said she earned her own money so if she decides to leave him, it makes sense for her to keep it.
Of course, it also makes sense (in his mind) that if they split, he keeps the $200M fortune that he made playing basketball.
