Drake will not submit Iceman, Habibti or Maid of Honour for the 2026 Grammy Awards.
According to Billboard, the rapper is keeping all three projects out of the running, but real Drizzy fans know that he already made his decision clear on one of those albums.
“This album, I’m never submittin’ it,” Drake raps on “Make Them Know,” the closing track on Iceman.
The album broke one of Drake’s own records, spending longer at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart than Take Care, which previously held his personal best at 12 weeks and he has skipped Grammy consideration before.
More Life was not submitted in 2018, while Certified Lover Boy was withdrawn in 2022. Honestly, Nevermind also stayed out of the following year’s race.
Her Loss, his collaborative album with 21 Savage, did compete at the 2024 Grammys, but Killer Mike’s Michael took home Best Rap Album that year.
Drake is currently still appealing the dismissal of his lawsuit against Universal Music Group over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.” That song swept five categories at the 2025 Grammys.
