Drake says 21 Savage is no longer at risk of deportation and that the UK born rapper now has his green card.
“Savage got a green card straight out of the consulate/ Where I go, you go, brother, we Yugoslavian,” Drizzy raps on “8AM in Charlotte.”
21 Savage was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. ICE revealed he was actually a U.K. citizen who overstayed his visa.
“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested unlawfully present United Kingdom national Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph AKA ’21 Savage’ during a targeted operation with federal and local law enforcement partners early Sunday in metro Atlanta,” ICE spokesman Brian Cox said to AJC at the time. “Mr. Abraham-Joseph was taken into ICE custody as he is unlawfully present in the U.S. and also a convicted felon.”
Savage was convicted of felony drug charges in 2014 in Fulton County, Georgia. But now all of that is behind him and he can live and work in the US legally.
