And that’s not all. The rapper flies around the world in his own 747 jet, and lives in a nearly 100,000 square foot castle in Toronto and has been slyly selling off properties over the last few months.
Last month, the Grammy Award-winning rapper and actor put up his Beverly Hills megamansion for sale.
The nearly 20-acre Tuscan-style estate hit the market earlier this week for $88 million, a little more than a year after Drake, otherwise known as Aubrey Drake Graham, snapped up the trophy home for $75 million listing records show.
Real estate experts say that Drake’s asking price is a lot higher than the current market will bear, and according to one popular real estate blogger, Drake will be “lucky” to receive the $75 million that he spent on the property back.
And there’s more. Drake has been publicly losing millions of dollars in public bets on sporting events. During last year’s World Cup, Drake lost $1M. The rapper tweeted out a $1 million bet he placed on Argentina to win Sunday’s World Cup final in regulation.
Drake bet the full time money line (meaning Argentina would have to win in regulation). They won on penalties in overtime 4-2.
And according to one website, who follows Drake’s betting, he lost more than $10M in public bets in just the last year. That’s just the bets that he posted online too ….
We’re not quite sure what is going on with Drake and his finances, but we hope he’s got everything under control.
