Dr. Cheyenne Bryant is responding to internet critics after her recent series of interviews seemingly backfired.
While appearing on a recent episode of The Breakfast Club, Bryant addressed ongoing questions surrounding her doctorate degree after months of social media accusations labeling her a “fraud” and a “scammer.”
“I have multiple degrees, and I’m not going to prove anything to anybody,” she said. “My obedience is to God, not to people.”
Bryant, who says she earned a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, explained that she completed the program while the school was accredited. She said the issues began years after the university closed, and she attempted to recover official records while considering law school.
“I go and look, there is a third party that has the records,” Bryant said. “That third party only holds records for two years.”
According to Bryant, she later contacted financial aid offices, which confirmed that payments were linked to her undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies and that she was able to salvage parts of her academic records from the former student portal, including materials related to her dissertation.
Bryant claimed that her professional qualifications extended beyond the disputed doctorate, explaining that her master’s degree and clinical experience already satisfied the requirements to pursue LMFT licensure.
“I don’t need a doctorate in counseling psychology to go get licensed as a therapist,” she said.
“I don’t give a f–k what your narrative is,” she later added..
