Former President Donald Trump went viral again for calling CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins a “nasty person” during his New Hampshire Town Hall on CNN.
Collins was checking Trump over unclassified documents found at his Florida home.
“The Presidential Records Act, which is not well-known to a lot of people, I read it, and it does not say that you can take documents with you. It says they’re the property of the federal government,” she said. “It does not say you negotiate.”
Trump tried to spin the story. “You know who took them more than anybody is Joe Biden,” he said.
Collins responded, “They took documents. When they realized they had documents, they turned them back over. The difference is that you waited to turn yours over, and it was a year and a half [long] effort that included a subpoena with those documents. That’s the question that investigators have I think is: why you held onto those documents when you knew the federal government was seeking them and then had given you a subpoena to return them?”
Trump accused her of not allowing him to answer her question, before responding, “It’s very simple that you’re a nasty person. Why is it that Biden had nine boxes in Chinatown? And he gets a lot of money from China,” he said. “Why aren’t people bringing that up?”
