Don Lemon has sued Elon Musk and X, formerly Twitter, after Musk canceled his content deal with the platform.
In his lawsuit, Lemon accuses the company of fraud, negligent misrepresentation, misappropriation of name and likeness, and breach of express contract.
The journalist says Musk and X had agreed to pay him $1.5 million for a one-year exclusive deal with the platform including a $200,000 up front payment and the remainder of the money being paid in quarterly installments. He was also promised ad revenue from his content and the option to renew the contract.
Musk terminated the interview after a heated interview with Lemon where he was asked questions that he felt were inappropriate, including questions about his ketamine usage and DEI.
The damages Lemon is requesting have not been specified but it was rumored to be around $35 million, although this has not been confirmed.
Lemon has been hosting a daily show on his Youtube channel but in struggling to pull in big numbers.
