DJ Quik Accuses Social Media Platforms Of Violating His First Amendment Rights

DJ Quik says he’s done with social media after one of his posts were flagged.

“I think the time has come for me to file a class action lawsuit against this and other social media platforms for violating my first amendment rights,” he wrote a post on Instagram, adding: “I said what I said. And after, close this account altogether.”

The First Amendment provides that Congress make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise. It protects freedom of speech, the press, assembly, and the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. The Second Amendment gives citizens the right to bear arms.

Quik claims he talked to his attorney after his mini-rant, but his attorney likely advised him that he would lose.

Shortly after, the rapper posted, “My lawyer just told me I’m wasting my time on Instagram,” on his Stories.

DJ Quik is an American rapper and record producer from Compton, California, known for his production of West Coast hip-hop, which uses the G-funk style. Blake has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Tupac, Chingy, R. Kelly and Shaquille O’Neal, among others. Blake’s stage name reflects his ability to produce songs in a short period of time. Some of his top songs include “Dollaz + Sense”, “Tonite”, “Born and Raised in Compton” and “Jus Lyke Compton.”
