DJ Mustard has filed for divorce from his wife after less than two years of marriage.
Mustard filed the paperwork at a Los Angeles courthouse on Monday, TMZ reports. He has cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup from Chanel Thierry.
The DJ wants joint legal and physical custody of their three children, Kiylan, 10, Kauner, 7 and Kody, 2. The couple have been together for more than 12 years.
Chanel shared a message to her Instagram story:
“Thank you for the kind words, thoughts and prayers,” she wrote. “Anyone that followed me or knows me personally knows my family means the world to me.” I’ve dedicate[d] 12 loyal years and it is more then [sic] heartbreaking to see things end.”
Earlier this year Mustard was involved in a serious car crash.
“Last night a drunk driver hit me and another car on the freeway,” he wrote. “slammed my car into the wall all the airbags came out totaled by my truck sh-t felt like a movie smh I was able to walk away with minor injuries no major injuries thank you god.”
