DJ Envy has filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit that accused him of real estate fraud.
Envy and his business partners Cesar Pina and Jennifer Pina, were accused of taking nearly $2 million in investments from plaintiffs Anthony Barone and Anthony Martini and used the funds to support their extravagant lifestyles and/or to pay off other investors.
According to court documents obtained by The Shade Room, The Breakfast Club cohost says was an employee or representative of neither the Taylor Company nor Flip 2 Dao.
Pina’s clients have taken to social media to claims that they have lost as much as $1,000000 while working with him.
“I honestly don’t know that’s between them and whatever happened. But did I say, ‘There, take this money and give it to this person or do this with this money?’ I never did,” Envy said on Instagram Live at the time the allegations broke. “If you ever came to my seminar, I tell everybody, ‘Everybody on this stage, whether it’s credit, prepare, or it’s a conventional lender, do your homework because I don’t trust anybody.’ If you’ve been to my seminars, I say that a million times.”
