DJ Akademiks has fired back at Lil Baby after the rapper appeared to call him “the feds” in a new music video snippet, reigniting their long-running anf extremely messy beef.
The streamer responded in a heated rant after Baby’s lyric began circulating online. In the snippet, the Atlanta rapper appeared to rap, “F–k Akadamik, that n—a the feds.”
Akademiks answered by accusing Baby of being close to people he claims have spoken with police.
“Hey, [Lil Baby]. I’m making it short and sweet,” Akademiks began, before launching into a string of insults and allegations. “You’re hanging with the police,” he said. “You can’t say I’m the feds when we heard your man talking to the feds.”
Akademiks repeatedly mocked the idea that Baby could label him that way, saying, “Imagine call me the feds when you riding Passenger Princess with the feds.” He continued, “I got y’all on tape talking to the cops. You want to do a marathon?”
However, viewers were shocked when Ak then took aim at the entire city.
“Y’all from Atlanta, all y’all been doing is talking to the cops,” he said. “That’s the Atlanta special.”
At one point, he brought Young Thug into the rant, saying, “If I’m the cops, Young Thug the lieutenant,” before accusing Baby of keeping company with people who have police-related records or past claims attached to them.
“Lil Baby is hanging out with actual people who talk to the cops,” Akademiks told his followers. “And Lil Baby… has the audacity to say, ‘I’m the feds.’”
