DJ Akademiks Says Rappers Look “Like Losers” Begging for Streamer University!

DJ Akademiks says Soulja Boy, DDG, and the rappers circling Kai Cenat’s Streamer University are walking into a world that is harder than it looks.

After Soulja Boy went nuclear online over his Streamer University snub before announcing that he would be creating a Rapper University, DDG trolled the idea online.

“Don’t do it,” Akademiks said while reacting to the conversation. “This is why rap is dying because everybody is cashing out.”

“No hate to Kai Cenat,” Akademiks continued. “Genius. He’s amazing at what he does. He’s made a fortune off of what he does. […] The reality is that outside of music, these guys are not entertaining,” he went on. “They’re just flat out not entertaining.”

“Most rappers live off image,” he explained to his viewers. “That doesn’t work in streamer world.”

He also said the workload is heavier than many artists realize, telling rappers they should be prepared to stream at least “100 hours a month” if they want to build an audience and that artists with big personalities can benefit, but warned others not to chase the wave without understanding the cost.

“Stick in the studio and keep making up raps,” he concludes.
