DJ Akademiks is disputing a claim from journalist Elliott Wilson that Drake and Future squashed their beef via a phone call.
Wilson claimed that he had it “on good authority” that the former friends hopped on a call and resolved their issues.
Drake and Future fans were happy about the news, believing the pair would be heading back into the studio together, but Ak says Wilson’s comments couldn’t be farther from the truth.
“Big shoutout to my man Elliott Wilson, but with all due respect,” Ak said on his livestream.
Since the beef, Ak has kept in close contact with Drizzy’s team.
“I’ve spoken to extremely credible sources on both sides, and Drake and Future has not been on the phone. So, not too sure who gave Elliott Wilson the authority to say this, but from what I hear that is not true, that is 100% cap. Now, I’m not gonna say Elliott Wilson is contorting or misrepresenting,” he added.”
