DJ Akademiks ripped Peter Rosenberg for questioning the warm reception Kanye West received in Chicago, telling the radio personality, “Boy shut yo punk a– up.”
Akademiks fired off a pair of posts over the weekend after Rosenberg criticized fans and celebrities for embracing Ye during his sold-out Sept. 3 and 4 concerts at Soldier Field in his hometown.
“We forgave him,” Akademiks wrote, arguing that Rosenberg could not decide “how and when” people forgive Ye.
Akademiks continued in another post, saying fans would not abandon the rapper permanently.
“We love the n—a even if he wyling out n tweakin,” he wrote. “We’ll never throw him away for life. Bro had a time out… held himself accountable.”
Boy shut yo punk ass up @Rosenbergradio … nigga u ain’t gon get ppl to hate Ye. We forgave him.. eat a dick! How u tryna tell ppl how and when they can forgive the greatest hip hop artist of all time. Nigga stay outta family business like cudi said. Ye our nigga https://t.co/S5pEumVPKX

Rosenberg had expressed disappointment after seeing the reception surrounding Ye’s Chicago homecoming, which included appearances from Kid Cudi, Big Sean, Travis Scott, Common and others.
“I am ALL for forgiveness and empathy but this man is being hailed as a HERO,” Rosenberg wrote. He previously referenced Ye’s antisemitic behavior while questioning whether enough time had passed.
Imagine explaining to Peter Rosenberg why you attending a YE concert or why he forgiving him. Shit crazy! Nigga it’s Ye. We love the nigga even if he wyling out n tweakin. We’ll never throw him away for life. Bro had a time out… held himself accountable. Shit back lit now.

Ye published an apology in January, saying he was “deeply mortified” by his past actions.
Akademiks and Rosenberg have traded attacks for years. In 2022, Akademiks said Rosenberg had taken “cheap shots” at him and revealed he once proposed settling their issues with a private boxing match, which Rosenberg declined at the time.
