Popular hip hop podcaster DJ Academiks is under fire, after a video leaked showing him behaving in an abusive manner towards a Caucasian woman whom he was in a relationship with, Media Take Out has learned.
And the same video also showed a group of women coming to Academics aid – and jumped the woman Akademiks was screaming at.
Footage hit social media that showed Academiks in a heated argument with a woman reported to be his girlfriend, and he can be heard yelling “I’m the prize.” Academiks is seem screaming just inches from the woman’s face, and taking an aggressive posture towards her.
Details are slowly but surely coming in about what is happening in the clip.
Akademiks responded to the video clip, saying, “I was breaking up a fight.”
“My girl was drunk and being aggressive wit other women cuz they were coming up to me in a party taking pics. One of the girls swung on her and that’s where this video starts I’m tryna get women to chill out. But they ain’t listening. They fighting over pics n sh*t.”
The drama allegedly popped off minutes after Ak appeared on the Fresh & Fit podcast.
Folks all over Twitter are making jokes. But not everyone thinks that what they witnessed was funny.
Media Take Out learned that there’s a growing group on social media who want Academiks “banned” for his aggressive behavior towards the woman.
