Diddy Set for Earlier Exit From Federal Prison

Diddy’s anticipated prison stay has been shortened again, with his federal release date now listed as January 24, 2028.

The date previously appeared as February 23, 2028, after first being set for May of that year, according to records cited by TMZ. It is the second time in a little more than a month that Diddy’s projected release has been moved forward.

The 56-year-old Bad Boy Records founder is incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey following his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy was sentenced to 50 months behind bars and fined $500,000 after being acquitted of racketeering and two sex trafficking counts.

Diddy continues to challenge both his conviction and sentence, and his attorneys have argued that he received an unfair trial and that the First Amendment protects the conduct at the center of the case.

His revised release date arrives as reports continue to circulate about possible presidential clemency. President Donald Trump said earlier this year that Diddy had sent him a letter requesting a pardon, though he later denied that he was considering granting one.

It was recently reported that the White House is considering pardoning the rapper, although this was not confirmed.
