Diddy Reportedly Returned to Solitary Amid Investigation Into Prison Treatment

Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly lost some of the freedom he had inside FCI Fort Dix after allegations surfaced about the way he was living in prison.

Diddy, 56, was moved into the New Jersey facility’s special housing unit after NBC published claims from inmates who said he was receiving special treatment.

TMZ reported that officials can place inmates in the unit while investigating possible violations.

NBC spoke with four men who said they had been incarcerated near Diddy. Their accounts included claims that other inmates cooked for him, gave him massages, and did chores in exchange for payment.

“This is not some normal s–t you see in jail. This is some rich s–t,” one man told the news outlet. “It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”

One inmate said he made meals for Diddy, such as pizza, curry chicken, and empanadas, before eventually stopping. The report also alleged that Diddy had access to a contraband cellphone and received alcohol and antidepressant medication… and they even provided visual evidence of the rapper holding a cellphone… cellphones are prohibited by federal law and having one can mean a one-year prison sentence.

“The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence within the rules and he patiently awaits the court’s decision on his appeal,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

The Bureau of Prisons declined to discuss Diddy’s individual circumstances, citing “privacy, safety and security reasons.”

Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in October 2025 after his conviction for transportation to engage in prostitution. He is scheduled to be released on January 21, 2028.
