Diddy reportedly wants to put his own story on camera after years as the subject of documentaries about his legal troubles.
The disgraced music mogul is allegedly developing a documentary and planning a comeback following his release from prison, journalist Cheyenne Roundtree revealed during a recent NPR appearance.
Roundtree, who wrote Bad Boy for Life: The Rise and Fall of Sean Combs, believes the 56-year-old intends to address the controversies surrounding him publicly.
“He is planning a doc of his own and his own comeback story,” she said.
Neither Diddy nor his representatives have confirmed the reported project.
The hip-hop mogul previously recorded footage before his September 2024 arrest that was allegedly intended for his own production.
Some of that material later appeared in Netflix’s Sean Combs: The Reckoning, prompting Diddy and his attorneys to accuse the production of using stolen footage.
Executive producer 50 Cent and director Alexandria Stapleton denied the allegations.
Diddy also sued NBCUniversal over Peacock’s Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, alleging defamation. He lost that legal battle.
Meanwhile, the former Bad Boy Records boss remains at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Jurors acquitted him of racketeering and sex trafficking.
His current release date is February 5, 2028.
