Diddy Dragged Into Tupac Case as Keefe D’s 2008 Statements Resurface!

Duane “Keefe D” Davis’ past statements about Tupac Shakur’s killing were back in the spotlight this week as a former LAPD detective testified about what Davis allegedly told investigators nearly two decades ago.

Retired detective Daryn Dupree said Davis claimed Sean “Diddy” Combs was tied to money intended as payment for the deaths of Tupac and Death Row Records founder Marion “Suge” Knight.

Dupree testified that Davis said Combs “was supposed to have given money to Zip Martin to give to Mr. Davis for payment of the Tupac murder.” Davis also allegedly told detectives that he could revive his relationship with Martin and get him to discuss money he said had been transferred but never reached him.

Following that claim, undercover investigators traveled with Davis to New York to try to contact Martin.

According to Dupree, Davis went to a club hoping to meet Martin but was referred to Martin’s nephew instead. The plan eventually fell apart because Martin was ill and no longer involved in the business.

Dupree, who had worked on the task force investigating The Notorious B.I.G.’s 1997 killing and was asked whether investigators found evidence connecting officers to the murder, answered, “We found out that there was not any police officer involved.”

The trial continues.
