After the Grammys, Diddy posted a cryptic message to Instagram taking shots at somebody.
“I helped you win your first and only Grammy award which I did out kindness, and somehow you thought you could win another without my help ?? Oh okay..,” he posted before quickly deleting.
Fans immediately assumed Diddy was shading Burna Boy. After Somelikeithaute posted the screenshot, Diddy commented, denying he wrote the tweet.
“This is fake,” he wrote. Diddy served as co-executive producer for Burna’s 2020 album “Twice as Tall” but his “Love Damini” album lost the Best Global Music Album award this year.
Fans argued about whether the post was fake.
“Nope! Diddy never posted it. It’s a certain fanbase that created the fake screenshot. They do it all the time. Davido used to be the victim of their online misinformation schemes. Now it’s Burna Boy. Just think about it… why would Diddy even post that?” somebody wrote.
“Why is Diddy lying tho?? I saw this shit with my two eyes on his story,” another wrote.
