Sean “Diddy” Combs quietly collected a six-figure appearance fee in cash for a Miami nightclub event in 2023, with the payment routed through a company named after his mother.
According to Page Six, Bad Boy founder appeared at M2 nightclub during a Race Week kickoff tied to Formula 1’s Miami Grand Prix on May 4, 2023. Event paperwork showed the club agreed to pay a $100,000 appearance fee, payable in full in cash, in two installments.
The contract specified that payment be made following written instructions and listed the recipient as Janice Combs Music Holdings Inc., a company named after his mother, Janice Combs, who was 84 at the time.
The arrangement came less than a year before Diddy’s properties were raided by the FBI in March 2024, as multiple civil lawsuits were filed against him. Those legal battles later expanded into a high-profile federal case.
In September 2024, the disgraced music mogul was indicted on charges that included racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. A jury cleared him of those accusations in July 2025 but convicted him on two counts related to transportation for prostitution. He was sentenced to four years and two months in prison, fined $500,000, and placed on supervised release.
He is currently serving his sentence in New Jersey and has resolved several civil cases, including a reported $20 million settlement with Cassie Ventura.
