Devin Haney issued a statement following the announcement that Ryan Garcia has been suspended for one year after his fight-night drug tests came back positive for ostarine.

“I want to thank the commission and the fans who stood by me during this whole process,” Haney told ESPN. “The facts are the facts, and I wasn’t on an even playing field. Happy I was able to receive justice for what happened. It’s all part of my story and it’s only going to make me better. I look to enjoy this time with my family and friends and see what’s next.”

Ostarine is a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) that attaches to proteins in the body and effectively signals for muscles to grow. It is used to aid performance by helping athletes build muscle mass and enhance their rate of fat loss, as well as to increase stamina and recovery ability.

Garcia denied taking the banned substance, claiming it came from a supplement, which the supplement company denied.

Garcia will be reinstated April 20, 2025, but only if his urine test comes back clean of any banned substances, the commission said.
