Deshaun Watson Settles 20 Of 24 Sexual Misconduct Civil Lawsuits

Media Take Out Staff |

Deshaun Watson has settled 20 out of 24 sexual misconduct civil lawsuits out of court.

The player was recently traded from Houston Texans to the Cleveland Browns even though 24 women sued him, claiming he had sexually assaulted them.

Watson had always denied the allegations.

“Today, I announce that all cases against Deshaun Watson, with the exception of four, have settled,” attorney Tony Buzzbee, who is representing the accusers, announced.

Buzzbee suggests Watson will settle the remaining 4.

“We are working through the paperwork related to those settlements. Once we have done so, those particular cases will be dismissed. The terms and amounts of the settlements are confidential. We won’t comment further on the settlements or those cases.”

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told ESPN that, “today’s development has no impact on the collectively bargained disciplinary process.”

“I do understand that I do have regrets as far as the impact that [it’s had] on the community and people outside of just myself,” Watson said last week. “And that includes my family. That includes this organization. That includes my teammates in this locker room that have to answer to these questions. That includes the fan base of the Cleveland Browns. That includes males, females, everyone across the, the world. That’s one thing I do regret is the impact that it’s triggered on so many people. It’s tough to have to deal with.”
