Former NBA baller Delonte West has been arrested for the second time in two weeks.
According to TMZ, cops found Delonte “lying next to a car with an open door” in a residential area following reports of a man who appeared to be drunk. When they showed up, they quickly arrested him for being drunk in public, before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
West was charged with misdemeanor intoxication in public.
West played eight seasons in the NBA. He played with the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Seattle Supersonics and Dallas Mavericks. His final term was at the point guard position for the Dallas Mavericks in 2012.
West was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, bipolar is a mental disorder that causes “unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, concentration, and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks.”
His hearing is scheduled for after the holidays.
