DDG says he dropped the ball with Blueface after skipping his girlfriend Nevaeh Akira’s baby shower and leaving the rapper’s messages unanswered.
The streamer addressed the situation on Wednesday, August 19, after Blueface publicly questioned their friendship over DDG’s absence from the Sunday, August 16, celebration.
“Me and Blueface are cool, y’all. Blueface was not wrong,” DDG said during his Kick livestream. “Blueface my real friend, y’all… I have not been tapping in with him like I could’ve. I took accountability for that. I need to be a better person with responding.”
Blueface had already made his frustration clear.
During the baby shower, he said DDG had not been communicating with him about a potential joint tour, even though Blueface claimed DDG was the one who first suggested it.

He was also bothered that DDG did not attend the shower, saying his friend instead sent 50 gifted subscriptions during a livestream.
“We friends or not? If we not, it’s gonna be f–k cuh,” Blueface said.
DDG chose not to match that energy when he responded. He instead admitted Blueface had a reason to feel slighted and insisted the two remain friends.
Blueface and Nevaeh welcomed their son, Johnathan Jamall Porter Jr., on Tuesday, August 18. The couple livestreamed the birth and returned home almost immediately, where Blueface went straight back to cheating on her and disrespecting her in front of his thousands of subscribers.
