After weeks of speculation, DDG has confirmed that he and singer Halle Bailey have called it quits.
“Dear friends and supporters, After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” he wrote in a statement.
The statement continues, “The decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best part forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we shared. Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other.”
MediaTakeOut previously reported on the couple’s split, but neither stars confirmed the news at the time.
The former couple first went public with the relationship in January 2022 and later welcomed son Halo in late 2023.
Halle is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She first became known as one half of the musical duo Chloe x Halle with her sister Chloe Bailey. In 2023, Bailey released her debut solo single, “Angel”, which was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song.
As an actress, Bailey starred in the television sitcom Grown-ish (2018–2022).
