Dame Dash is calling out his former best friend and business partner, Jay-Z, for his 2002 collaborative album with R. Kelly, Best of Both Worlds.

Dash dated Aaliyah before her untimely death, but there are allegations that Kelly married her when she was still a minor and engaged in an inappropriate relationship with her.

“It’s morally wrong to do a project with someone that we know raped my girl or raped anybody for that matter,” Dash said on his American Nu Network.

“It’s morally wrong to do a project with someone that we know raped my girl or raped anybody for that matter,” Dash added.

The Best of Both Worlds is the first collaborative album by R. Kelly and Jay-Z. It was released on March 19, 2002 through Jive Records, Roc-A-Fella and The Island Def Jam Music Group. R. Kelly and Poke and Tone primarily handled the production on the album, but also features production by Megahertz and Charlemagne. The album also features guest appearances by Beanie Siegel, Lil’ Kim and Devin the Dude.

Three singles supported the Best of Both Worlds: “Honey,” “Get This Money,” and “Take You Home with Me, a.k.a. Body”. The album debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 223,000 copies in its first week. Despite this, critical reception was generally mixed.

“I do know when that project did come out, I didn’t want any part of that project. I didn’t want any of the money to go to Roc-A-Fella or me when it came to Roc-A-Fella,” Dash continued, adding that he did not take any profit from the album.
