Dame Dash Says Ye “Went Too Far” After JAY-Z’s Family Was Targeted!

Dame Dash says JAY-Z was right to respond after Ye went after his children.

In a new interview with Art of Dialogue, Dash weighed in on JAY-Z’s viral Roots Picnic freestyle and said he understood why the rapper aimed Ye after the Chicago artist made comments about JAY-Z and Beyoncé’s twins, Sir and Rumi Carter, during a social media rant last year.

“Yeah, but Kanye is bipolar. He’s admitted he’s bipolar. And I think people think just cause he’s famous, that bipolar is different for broke people than it is for rich people, you know,” Dash said in the clip. “But yeah, I thought the kid thing I wouldn’t do that. I wouldn’t advise. I wasn’t with that.”

The former Roc-A-Fella Records executive said he would have told Ye directly that bringing children into the dispute was unacceptable.

“Like if I was in front of Kanye, I’m like, ‘Now you went too far.’ But I know he’s sick,” he continued. “So, it’s just the people around him have to care enough about him to know that when he’s triggered, and he’s not, and he’s not taking his medicine, he’s drinking, and he’s not sleeping, that it’s probably going to be tragic the things he’s probably going to say.”

Ye later apologized for his comments about the children, but JAY-Z appeared to fire back during his recent Roots Picnic freestyle in Philadelphia.
