Dame Dash is setting the record straight about longtime rumors involving Beyoncé.
During a recent interview on The Art of Dialogue, the Roc-A-Fella co-founder addressed speculation that he once pursued the superstar romantically, saying he never viewed her that way because she was just a teenager when he first laid eyes on her.
“I wasn’t even thinking about Beyoncé… she was a kid to me,” Dash said. “I couldn’t unsee her as 16.”
“That wasn’t on my list,” he continued. “Those girls were kids to me.”
The music executive also shared that his attention at the time was focused elsewhere, particularly among older women in the fashion and entertainment worlds.
“We knew her when she was 16, so I couldn’t unsee her as 16… I never ever wanted to f**k with Beyoncé. I didn’t want to.”

“I was running behind… Naomi Campbell… it was different,” Dash said while describing the kind of women he was interested in during that era.
While dismissing rumors about Beyoncé, Dash admitted he found another member of Destiny’s Child attractive.
“Kelly Rowland… I’ve actually seen her and been like, I would mess with her,” he said.
Dash’s former business partner, Jay-Z, and global superstar Beyoncé first crossed paths in the late 1990s when Beyoncé was rising to fame with Destiny’s Child. Although the pair kept their romance private at first, Beyoncé later shared that they spent more than a year building a friendship before officially dating, which she was around 18 at the time.
Their relationship became more public after collaborations like “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” and “Crazy in Love,” and they eventually and very quietly tied the knot in 2008 and have since welcomed three children together.
