A Dallas man is being charged with killing a woman after she beat him at basketball. Cameron Hogg, 31, is charged with the Oct. 3 murder of Asia Womack, 21, and arrested, Media Take Out confirmed.
Asia’s family told the local media that she and Cameron were friends, but Hogg couldn’t accept losing to a woman. Media take Out confirmed that the two former friends played a game of one-on-one basketball in front of his family, and Asian beat him.
But Asia didn’t just BEAT Cameron … she talked trash all while doing so. The family told the media that there is always trash talking during pickup basketball games.
Cameron didn’t lose to just any woman – Asia was a local basketball star. She attended Texas A&M University and “received a scholarship to play basketball.” Cameron, on the other hand, never played high school or college basketball.
After the game, Media Take Out learned that Cameron took his children and brother home, then returned to the park with a gun and shot Asia five times.
“This was supposed to be a friend of Asia’s. She’s eaten with the man,” Asia’s mother Andrea said. “She’s fed him, and he turned on her and killed her in a vicious way.”
“This is so senseless,” Pastor John Delley told FOX 4 News. “You become embarrassed basically because a female beat you in basketball.”
