DaBaby’s New Orleans Show Canceled After POOR Ticket Sales

Media Take Out Staff |

DaBaby has canceled an upcoming concert in New Orleans after he failed to sell enough tickets.

The event was scheduled to take place at the Smoothie Center.

Concert promoters are trying to organize a replacement show on a new date and DaBaby will “likely” be included. According to Nola, the event pulled in “fewer than 500 for an arena with a concert capacity of 14,000 or more.”

The DaBaby’s booking agents are blaming the promoters for the rapper pulling out.

“DaBaby’s New Orleans show was pulled by the artist’s team due to the promoter being in breach of contract,” Andrew Lieber said in an emailed statement. “DaBaby will be back in New Orleans very soon to make it up to his fans.”

The promoters responded with a statement to Nola.com: “We sincerely apologize that we must postpone the For The Culture Tour stop in New Orleans featuring DaBaby that was set to happen on September 2nd. The public information being released is false and we didn’t authorize anyone to announce the cancellation of this event.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, our intentions and actions have been to work with the Smoothie King Center and artist management to postpone this event. We are in the process of working with all parties involved to announce future dates and times.”
