DaBaby will not face charges for shooting an intruder who entered his North Carolina home, the Troutman Police Department announced.

“The investigation into the shooting incident that occurred at 135 Stillwater Drive on April 13, 2022, has been completed and closed. Investigators have consulted with the Iredell County District Attorney’s Office and there will be no criminal charges filed at this time,” the announcement reads.

The Troutman Police Department posted that they were called to the property around 7:45 p.m., where they found “one subject suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.”

“The subject was transported by Iredell County EMS to a medical facility for treatment,” the statement from the police reads.

“Due to the ongoing and continuing nature of this investigation, no information as to the names of those involved or the circumstances can be released at this time,” the statement concluded. “This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community at large.”

DaBaby has been linked to several shooting incidents in his career.

Last year, he was detained and released after being questioned about a shooting in Miami’s South Beach on Memorial Day that left two people wounded. Two members of the rapper’s entourage were charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.
