DaBaby accepted a plea deal to avoid jail time after being charged with assaulting a man.
The rapper pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery stemming from his 2020 assault case where he reportedly punched a man’s tooth out. As part of deal, he plead guilty to misdemeanor simple battery. In return, the rapper was sentenced to one day in a Los Angeles County jail (which he has served), given a year of probation and ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution to the victim.
DaBaby is also prohibited from possessing firearms and deadly weapons during this period.
The assault took place on a rental property owned by a man named Gary Pagar. DaBaby rented one of his properties for a “private vacation,” and agreed not to have more than 12 people on the site.
The rapper invited more than 40 people and a film crew to shoot a music video. DaBaby and his crew attacked Pager when he showed up to the shoot.
