The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that D4vd has not been named as a suspect in the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.
They have yet to identify a suspect.
“The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death. As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body,” the LAPD statement to Rolling Stone reads.
“RHD is thoroughly examining every aspect of this case to uncover the truth and seek justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez and her family.”
The teen was discovered dead in the trunk of D4vd’s abandoned Tesla at a Los Angeles impound lot on September 8. D4vd paused his tour to cooperate with authorities, but has not issued a public statement.
Fans have speculated several allegedly strong links between the artist and the late teen.
D4vd reportedly has a matching tattoo with Rivas, and her mother stated that she has been missing for over a year, adding that Celeste’s boyfriend was named David. After his identity was revealed to the public, an unreleased love song written by D4vd, featuring the name “Celeste” in the unfinished title and more than once in the lyrics, resurfaced online.
