D.L. Hughley roasted Mo’Nique on his radio show after she claimed she was supposed to be a headliner at a recent show and made homophobic remarks.
“Now I know what Tyler Perry knows, I know what Lee Daniels knows, I know what Oprah knows, I know what Steve Harvey knows, I know what Charlamagne Tha God knows, I know what Netflix knows,” he said.
D.L. said he is mad at himself for “Saying yes to Mo’Nique is an occupational hazard.”
“She hasn’t once talked to me. I haven’t seen Mo’Nique in years. I didn’t see her at the venue before, after, or during—I haven’t spoken or seen Mo’Nique,” said Hughley.
“Y’all don’t understand I was getting ready to walk the f-ck up out of here, but I said, ‘I can’t let the people down,'” Mo’Nique said on stage. “I’m 30-plus years in this motherf-cking business and I don’t open for no goddamn body. The contract said ‘the headliner.'”
