Former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Crystal Kung Minkoff is shedding new light on the real dynamics behind one of the franchise’s most talked-about friendships.
During a recent episode of her Humble Brag podcast with Cynthia Bailey, Crystal opened up about what Kyle Richards privately shared with her regarding her bond with Dorit Kemsley.
Crystal said she was surprised when Kyle publicly suggested on Watch What Happens Live that she and Erika Jayne were no longer close with Dorit, especially since it hinted at storylines viewers hadn’t yet seen. She then recalled a conversation she had with Kyle just days before her final reunion.
“I had seen Kyle two days prior,” Crystal said, explaining that she assumed Kyle and Dorit were close. “She goes, ‘Crystal, I literally have never had lunch with Dorit before in seven years.’”
According to Crystal, Kyle explained that while they had shared one vacation and enjoyed each other’s company, the friendship wasn’t as personal as fans believed. “We don’t hang out off camera like that,” Kyle allegedly told her.
Crystal suggested the confusion may stem from the close relationship between their husbands, Mauricio Umansky and PK Kemsley.
