Crystal Kung Minkoff may have left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she’s still on good terms with Garcelle Beauvais, and she says she knows the reason the actress quit the show.
“I talked to her the day of [her] announcement. Right after I saw it. I messaged her and then she called me when we were in Morocco. We talked for a little bit,” she said on The Viall Files.
Crystal says she did not question Garcelle about her decision to walk away.
“From what I saw, she felt quite betrayed by Sutton,” said Crystal, adding that she believes Garcelle’s decision to quit was “very much about Sutton,” as Sutton was her “last friend” on the reality show.
Crystal then described the reunion environment.
“The stress, the pressure, the fear, the anxiety that you have is so heightened, like, it’s really, really stressful because it’s just standing in front of a firing squad and then everyone comes for you. Like, you need someone to help you,” she said.
Sutton faced backlash for not coming to Garcelle’s defense even once during the three-part reunion. After the reunion, Garcelle unfollowed all of the Housewives and has not spoken to any of them since.
