Cristina Mackey reflected on her brief romance with Rick Ross and says she dated him because she felt God leading her in that direction.
On Instagram Live, she spoke about the connection with the Miami rapper.
“I just feel like God was like, ‘Hey, I need you to date this person real quick so I can get you where you need to go. You need to be in this city,’” she said. “My mom said the same thing too. She was like, ‘God brought you here for me, to be closer to me.’”
The firmer couple were first spotted out publicly in mid-December and dated for six months. Mackey faced backlash after taking shots at Rozay’s exes Tia Kemp and Pretty Vee. The relationship ended abruptly this summer and Ross was soon spotted out with another woman.
“The situation was beautiful and I meant every word during our amazing six-month run. If others are upset about my joy/pride in the moment, that’s their stress to bear,” she said at the time.
“We had a clean break two weeks ago and I never pretended to be the last. I embrace both negative and positive traction with love. And no, I won’t be appearing on anybody’s podcast.”
