Tia Mowry’s estranged husband Cory Hardrict seems like he’s ready for war as the couple’s divorce is turning ugly, Media Take Out has learned.
According to court documents, Cory is asking for the couple’s prenuptial agreement to be invalidated … and is seeking custody of the couple’s two children, Cree, 11, and Cairo, 4.
Tia filed to end her marriage after 14 years this past October. When announcing the divorce, Media Take Out reported that she told fans, “I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children.”
Tia cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. And the actress hired pitbull celebrity divorce attorney, Laura Wasser, to handle the case.
Tia’s lawyer asked the judge to give them joint physical and legal custody of the children, and asked that both she and Cory not be awarded spousal support. She also revealed Cory signed a prenuptial agreement before walking down the aisle.
Now Cory’s legal team has responded. Cory denies that “irreconcilable differences” played a part, and wants to go to trial to determine WHY Tia is seeking a divorce. MESSY.
Cory also wants joint legal and physical custody of the children also.
Now here’s the real DRAMA. Cory’s lawyer said his client wants the court to determine “the validity of the prenuptial agreement dated April 14, 2008 and/or that any provisions are unconscionable.”
