R&B/Afrobeats artist Tyla had a HUGE 2023 – and she’s on the precipice of becoming one of the biggest stars in the world.
And now Media Take Out exclusively learned that she has a new man in her life …. R&B singer Chris Brown.
We spoke with one of Chris’ friends who told us that he and Tyla are “kicking it” and seeing where things go.
Oh brother, we hope Chris doesn’t destroy the poor girl. Here is the happy couple celebrating Tyla’s birthday last weekend in Los Angeles:
Tyla, 22, is a South African singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Johannesburg, she signed with Epic Records in 2021 after the domestic success of her 2019 debut single, “Getting Late” featuring Kooldrink.
Tyla rose to international fame with the release of her 2023 single “Water”, which entered the top ten in sixteen countries including the United Kingdom and United States, where it was the first song by a South African soloist to enter the US Billboard Hot 100 in 55 years. Her self-titled debut album is scheduled for release on 1 March 2024. Tyla has been nominated for a Grammy Award, a BRIT Award, a Soul Train Music Award, a MOBO Award, and two South African Music Awards.
Chris Brown is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. He’s regarded as one of the most prominent artists in R&B music,[note 1] being credited as an evolver of the genre, and often being referred to by contemporaries as the “King of R&B”.
His R&B has been characterized by several influences from other genres, mainly pop music and hip hop. His lyrics develop predominantly over emotional and hedonistic themes. Brown has had wide comparisons to Michael Jackson for his singing and dancing abilities, as well as for his stage presence.
