Common says he is refusing to cast judgment on Diddy when asked about the mogul’s legal issues.
The Chicago rapper says he has not seen the video of Diddy violently assaulting Cassie.
“I haven’t seen it. I don’t like looking at a lot of things that – you know, I don’t watch videos of things that I feel won’t bring the right energy for me. But you know, God bless. To me, I don’t watch those, so I can’t say. I’m about love. You know that. I’m about peace so I’m about respecting human beings. So that’s one thing that no matter who you are, I feel like that’s something that I demand and respect and wanna be,” said Common.
Diddy claims he has sought help for his issues and even claims he went to rehab. More than 100,000 people have unfollowed him on social media, including LeBron James, Yung Miami and Meek Mill.
He continued: “I don’t have authority. I’m a child of God so I don’t believe I have the position of power to judge or decide if someone deserves this or not. That’s between the creator and them. I just try to be as good a person as I can be and be as loving and respectful to others. I’m not perfect but I try to be.”
