Walter Murphy, the alleged cofounder of YSL was denied bond by a judge.
His attorney went off in court.
“He’s changed, judge! He’s crying. He’s doing the right thing,” his attorney Jacoby Hudson told the judge, according to WSB-TV.
“The whole case is about Young Thug — Jeffrey Lamar Williams. That’s who they want. My client don’t want to talk about Jeffery Williams,” Hudson said.
Murphy was arrested along with rappers Young Thug and Gunna and 25 other men. Murphy’s lawyer says the D.A. wants Murphy to snitch on Thugger.
The Fulton County District Attorney’s office admitted that they tried to get him to cooperate. If they did, they would help him in other cases as he has been in trouble several times.
At Summer Jam, Thugger sent a message to his fans from jail.
“Hey how y’all doin? This is Thug,” he said. “I just want to say thank you to all my friends and my family for coming out and supporting us. You know, your support during this time means a lot to us. You know, this isn’t just about me or YSL. I always use my music as a form of artistic expression, and now I see that Black artists and rappers don’t have that freedom.”
