Claressa Shields is ready for Papoose to make their relationship official with a proposal.
“Girl, I can’t wait till my man [proposes] to me. That’s what I’m waiting on,” Shields said during a recent episode of Angela Yee’s Lip Service.
The boxer said she wants the proposal to come during a calm, romantic stretch of time, ideally somewhere special, with people close to them nearby.
“One, I would like for the week to be nothing but peaceful,” she said, adding that she wants it to happen somewhere “very, very nice” and be a surprise “around loved ones.”
Shields has previously said she wants to get married and has also discussed having children with the rapper.
Earlier this year, she said, “Me and Pap plan on having our first child together,” while speaking about their family plans. She has also talked about wanting multiple children and becoming a mother while she is still young enough to enjoy an active family life.
Shields and Papoose have been together for nearly two years. They first met at a boxing event in Newark, New Jersey, in July 2024.
Their romance later became public amid Papoose’s split from Remy Ma, leading to a series of contentious and very public exchanges between Shields and Remy. Shields now says she’s on a 90-day negativity cleanse.
