Claressa Shields is defending Papoose’s “Jezebel,” after the rapper faced some backlash for the song.
“If you mad on here about ‘Jezebel,’ just get off, bro,” Shields told viewers. “For real, I ain’t even talking about that. I wasn’t even ’bout to get into that. Just go,” repeatedly stating she was not planning to discuss the track, Shields eventually defended it. “But it’s a good [expletive] song, and it needed to be said.”
“How y’all mad? Somebody make three diss tracks about me and my man, calling me all type of names, trolling me, dropping songs on the day that I fight,” Shields continued. “Now y’all mad ’cause he said ‘Jezebel’?”
Last week, Remy released text messages showing that she and Remy Ma had communicated for years via DM, with Shields even asking the rapper for fashion tips. In the texts, the boxer also mentioned Papoose, which led some social media users to believe Shields was after Remy’s man the whole time.
Shields also claimed that she did not meet Pap until 2024, but Remy provided proof that the pair met the year prior.
Papoose released “Jezebel” on September 11, the same day as a hearing in his divorce from Remy. While he does not mention her by name, the song addresses the breakdown of a marriage and includes claims about writing music, posting bail and sending money.
Remy previously released “W.Y.F.L.” and “Wanna Go,” and has teased another song, “Why I Get Married,” featuring Keke Wyatt.
