Love Island USA star Cierra Ortega has been removed from the villa after posts resurfaced of her repeatedly using a racial slur.
During last night’s show, narrator Iain Stirling confirmed that Cierra “left the villa due to a personal situation.”
In the resurfaced posts, Cierra uses a racial slur aimed at the Asian community.

Her partner, Nic Vansteenberg, with whom she had been in an exclusive couple with for several episodes, was made “officially single,” but by the end of the episode, he was in a new couple with Olandria Carthen.
Nic had been eyeing Olandria from the start, but the pair did not explore their connection entirely out of respect for Cierra and Olandria’s then-partner, Williams.

After social media posts went viral, Cierra’s parents took to social media to address the hate the reality star has received since her exit. According to Cierra’s parents, threats have been made against her and her family, and they urged the public to give Cierra time to process the recent turn of events and said she will take full accountability once she has.
Love Island USA airs every night on Peacock at 9/8c except for Wednesdays.
